Description

YOU GUYS! I actually really like this picture!! MAN. I'm gonna start using the colored lines instead of black more often!
No blending in this picture! Just solid color. I like the look of it. (except maybe Dib's glasses are a little too thick and he looks kinda emo, but hey, it goes along with the story I wrote XP)

Look at their expressions! Zim's all like "yeah, I made that sucka!" and Dib's all looking like he just really wants to hug a certain little alien :3

So, this is part of the 100 Theme Challenge. This is only... the second one I've done XD But I've had the story sitting around forEVER and finally just.... stayed up til One AM on a school night to edit the picture XD

This is more ZaDf than anything else, and I like it that way. But you guys can think of it however you wanna.

Here's the short back story to this!!!

Dib sighed and stared out the finger-print-covered window, head resting in palm. It had been drizzling outside all day. Not raining; drizzling. Normally this would be a good day for the boy, because Zim had never understood the concept of heavy fog and would often run outside just to be burnt worse than any normal rain would do. But the thought didn’t make him smile today. Not even a little.
“What is the Dib-stink’s face so gloomed out with?”
“What do you care?”
“I don’t! But ZIM DEMANDS an answer.”
Dib rolled his eyes in annoyance. “Shut up, Zim,” but he gave an answer anyways. “It’s always just so… dark around here. It’s kind of depressing, you know? And we don’t even get a rainbow after the rain.” He added, almost as an afterthought.
“Rain…bow?” Zim questioned. That was a new term for him. How could falling water wear ribbonery?
“I guess those are just for happier places…” Dib sighed quite audibly once again and turned to check the clock. One more minute until he could continue on with his dreadful life elsewhere.
Zim watched the human’s face. As self-centered as the alien could be, even HE had noticed that the Dib had been quite down in the disgusting garbage heaps lately. It must have had something to do with a weird attraction to the weather. Come to think of it, all humans had some sort of strange emotional attachment with their cloud conditions. There was always too much of one thing and not enough of the other.
But this new Dib, the sad one that breathed too loud, he was no fun. He didn’t even threaten Zim anymore!
“What if Zim were to make this ‘rain ribbon’? Would the Dib be normal again?”
He looked offended, or maybe annoyed, that his nemesis would even bring up the topic in such a way. His family never caught onto his moods (or didn’t care) so why should his alien foe? What right did he have to almost care about Dib’s well-being? Not that Zim would understand any of that, so Dib snapped at him about the first part of his stupid comment instead. “They’re natural occurrences and you don’t even know what they are. You can’t MAKE a rainbow, Zim.” The bell rang and Dib grabbed his bag in no hurry to leave, and definitely no hurry to stay.
Zim sat at his desk and watched the human’s slumped, retreating back. “Watch me.”
